Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
The Errand Gal is a corporate and personal concierge service providing errand services to help keep employees more productive and to assist those who simply need help “getting it all done.” I created the business after years of feeling overwhelmed trying to juggle work and family life.
Where do you go when the going gets tough?
Running...it provides me with peace and quiet and allows me to do some of my best thinking.
What’s your hidden talent?
Organizing! I have lists for everything and feel completely satisfied when I have crossed off all the items on my list. Of course there is always more to do. In addition to keeping myself organized, I’ve discovered that I enjoy helping others feel organized too, which is why I started this company.
What’s your biggest job perk?
I can work under my conditions – I don’t have to answer to anyone. Also, I get the satisfaction of knowing that I am helping people out, reducing their stress levels, and making them feel more productive or simply feel more organized.
What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?
I really enjoy Bistro 33 when I have the chance to get out without the kids, and sit down to enjoy a relaxing meal. When I’m running around town I can usually be found in either Starbucks or Chipotle.
Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?
Apple Hill is such a great place for the kids. Any time of the year there is something fun to do, and we love that it’s so close. We also enjoy Lake Tahoe.
What’s your favorite local event that you go to?
Free family concerts at the El Dorado Hills Town Center. It’s great to bring a picnic, sit back and relax with friends while the kids run around and dance.
What’s your favorite local business other than your own?
Carpe Diem. It’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee and hunker down on my laptop for some quality work time. And the folks who work there are so friendly!
And finally, customer service is…?
Knowing the customer is always right!
