Describe your business.
Cartridge World is the world’s largest franchise specializing in refilling and remanufacturing ink and toner cartridges. There are more than 1,700 stores in 80 countries around the world. Because of this we have access to high-quality materials to create a high-quality product for our customers at significantly reduced prices.
Did you find it, or did it find you?
Gary and I searched through many businesses to find something that fit our financial needs, family priorities and that was environmentally friendly. We cater to both walk-in and business customers, and we are located right here in El Dorado Hills where we live and our children go to school. I would say we definitely did our homework and found our niche.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
"Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" is the Cartridge World motto that we promote in local schools to create awareness with children of the importance of recycling. Cartridge World takes recycling one step further and is able to reuse materials prior to recycling. This not only reduces what goes into our landfills, but reduces unnecessary materials being generated in our community.
Why is your staff the best in the business?
Aside from Gary and I, we are very fortunate to have an amazing store manager and technician, Kevin Hughes. He builds and refills most of the product, in the store. He is also starting his own printer and computer consulting business as a complementary side business to our store.
Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?
To the Regal Theatre where we and our six kids love to go to the movies. We’re why they invented that giant tub of refillable popcorn!
What’s your favorite local event that you go to?
Each year my mother, my sister and my girls attend the Mother’s Day Art & Wine Affaire in Town Center. I always find the most unique pieces of jewelry there.
And finally, customer service is…?
Something I learned from my husband, Gary, which is following through, following up, and consistently providing your customer with thoughtful, knowledgeable and dedicated service. I suppose the free delivery doesn’t hurt either!
