Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
Our business is cooperative divorce resolution – meaning, we provide simple, efficient, out-of-court divorce solutions. Law found me, but within a few years of witnessing the financial and emotional destruction of the family court system, I became determined to provide reasonable people with better options. So, I created flat-fee packages that suit different needs and budgets, without the cost or complication of court.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
I am a volunteer community and court mediator, and a teen-court coach. This spring, I participated in the Folsom Teen Leadership Conference and guest-instructed at Folsom High School.
Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?
In business – Sean “Diddy” Combs, for chasing the dream instead of the “paper.” In life – inspiration is everywhere!
Where do you go when the going gets tough?
Depending on how tough: get a massage at Hoshall’s, enjoy happy hour at Bistro 33, or to Broadstone Racquet Club.
What’s your biggest job perk?
As my own boss, I can set the balance between work and life. I have been very lucky to have the freedom to develop my own creative approach to family law practice. But the biggest perk is watching my clients resolve difficult legal and emotional issues with dignity and grace – I feel honored to be a part of it.
What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?
Hawks in Granite Bay. I also love to eat in – my husband is an amazing cook.
Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?
The El Dorado Musical Theatre is a favorite – those kids are amazing! There is so much to do here: Sacramento Heat basketball games, fabulous farmers’ markets, and picnics in wine country.
And finally, customer service is…?
Respecting the client.
Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Wendy Sipple at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
