Dr. George D. Chen, D.D.S., Esthetic Reflections in Dentistry

Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
I found dentistry. As a kid I always loved mechanical things, being creative and helping people. I was also fascinated with the science of the human body. Though I started out pre-med and received my bachelor’s degree in nursing; in dentistry I found a harmony with creativity, health, healing and quality of life.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
Over the past 20 years, I have sponsored and supported many youth athletic teams. In addition, I volunteer as a church youth leader and serve on local dental society committees. But I am most affected by my involvement in Reel Recovery, a program for cancer survivors and those battling cancer.
Why is your staff the best in the business?
They truly love helping our customers achieve dental health. They are trained in the latest advances in dentistry and all strive to provide the best care and compassion possible, while at the same time building friendships and lasting relationships.
What life accomplishments are you most proud of?
I’m still in love with my bride after more than 20 years; raising two wonderful daughters who love God, family and our country; and building a successful business from scratch.
What’s your biggest job perk?
Seeing lives changed with a renewed confidence and self-esteem after being given a new, beautiful smile from my team and I. To see the sparkle in the eyes and the joy in the smile where there once was very little…this is my greatest perk!
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Ronald Reagan. I liked his leadership, what he stood for and what he accomplished. I would love to hear his ideas on how to deal with our present economic situation, which has affected all of us.
