The Folsom History Museum is eager to inspire the holiday spirit in the community with the opening of the Museum of Wonder and Delight, featuring 19th and 20th century toys, folk art, ephemera, ornaments and more. An Enchanted Christmas opens the first phase, with all pieces coming from internationally renowned collector and lecturer, Dolph Gotelli, whom is also the creative director and curator of the museum. “It has been his goal for some time to create a museum that not only showcases his collections, but that also provides educational and creative programs that inspire and rekindle the imagination,” explains Candy Miller, Folsom Historical Society member. Once the holidays pass, the museum will rotate the exhibits to feature unusual and rare toys and folk art collections from all over the country. This permanent attraction—located adjacent to the Historic District parking structure at 905 Leidesdorff Street—promises to be a must-see for people of all ages. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (ages 60 and up) and Folsom Historical Society members, $2 for youth (ages 6-17), and free for children (5 and under).
