Teen charged with vandalism

A 13-year-old boy was charged with vandalism after refusing to go to school, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office report. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the home on 5 Mile Road in Camino at about 7:50 a.m. Feb. 25. The boy was arrested for vandalism after damaging property in the home, the sheriff’s office said.

Battery

Stephen Hamaker, 32, of El Dorado Hills, was arrested for battery after punching a 24-year-old victim in the face at about midnight Feb. 24, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office report. 

Domestic battery

George Houx, 51, of Cameron Park, was arrested for domestic battery at about 6 p.m. Feb. 24, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office report. It is alleged that Houx slapped a female victim in the face, the sheriff’s office said.

Runaway teen

A mother reported her 17-year-old son did not return to their home on Mulberry Lane in Diamond Springs after school at about 4:40 p.m. Feb. 24, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office report. This is the second time the boy has not returned home after school. His name was placed in the missing person database, the sheriff’s office said.

Rocks thrown through business windows

A unknown suspect through a rock through a bank window on Plaza Goldorando in Cameron Park at about 6:15 p.m. Feb. 24, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office report. Nothing was stolen the incident the sheriff’s office said. A similar incident occurred two days before at about 10:15 p.m. on Town Center Boulevard in El Dorado Hills, the sheriff’s office said.

Students arrested for pot possession in El Dorado Hills

Four Oak Ridge High school students were arrested for possession marijuana at about noon and 1:30 p.m. Feb. 23, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office report. In the first incident, a 15-, 16- and 17-year-old were arrested. In the second incident a 16-year-old was arrested, the sheriff’s office said.
