Splendor from Silence features works written after deafness had engulfed each composer. Jolly, vibrant polkas of Bedřich Smetana; a heartbreaking, anguished nocturne of Gabriel Fauré; and Beethoven's final piano sonata - music of internal struggle and peaceful resignation.

Hailed by the New York Times as “an artist who means every note he plays,” this American pianist has been a soloist with the world's great orchestras.  Abroad, these include the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony, Philharmonic and Philharmonia, Moscow State Symphony, Munich’s Bayerischer Rundfunk, the Philharmonic Orchestras of Amsterdam, Oslo and Stockholm, the Orchestra of La Scala and NHK Symphony of Japan.  In the United States, engagements have included the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Siegel’s ongoing series of Keyboard Conversations® flourish in numerous American cities, among them New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Phoenix, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Dallas, Denver and Washington, D. C.  Some of these venues have been presenting Keyboard Conversations® for more than forty years — resounding testimony to Jeffrey Siegel's superb artistry, innovative format and loyal fans. This year Keyboard Conversations® continue as a series for the sixth season at London’s newest arts complex, Kings Place.

He has also recorded The Power and Passion of Beethoven, The Romanticism of the Russian Soul and The Romance of the Piano (Random House Audio Publishing Group); Music for the Young – and Young at Heart (WFMT Radio, Chicago) and American Pianistic Treasures (WEDU, Tampa). Jeffrey Siegel's recording of Gershwin's complete works for piano and orchestra, with Leonard Slatkin and the Saint Louis Symphony, continues to be a best seller and is available on Amazon.

The final Keyboard Conversations® of Harris Center’s 2015-2016 season takes place on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 7:30 pm. Don’t miss Two Great Romantics - Schumann and Chopin; Music of love, passion, and gorgeous melodies by two of the most beloved composers for the piano.
