St. Helena-based Ménage á Trois promises a “luscious love affair” with their collection of fun, flirtatious wines. Originating as a blend of three red varietals (hence the provocative name ménage á trois) in 1996, the winery has since expanded to include a large repertoire of varietals—full of ripe, luscious flavors, alluring aromas, and sensual textures. Ménage á Trois Gold Chardonnay

ABV: 14.8%

Tasting Notes: Refreshing citrusy nose; smooth from the first sip to the last; sweet but not cloying; would be good with crème brûlée, chicken stew, or a turkey casserole; smells and tastes likes pineapple and peaches with a mild, oaky finish

Price: $9.99

Purchase: Cost Plus World Market

Ménage á Trois Decadence Cabernet Sauvignon

ABV: 13.8%

Tasting Notes: Dark in color and very fragrant; silky but tastes earthy with notes of cherries, plum, and oak; light on the pepper, but heavy on the jam; highly drinkable; a wine that would definitely warm you up in the wintertime and pair nicely with dark chocolate

Price: $11.24

Purchase: Cost Plus World Market
