Sacramento Baroque Soloists presents Winter's Eve Lady of the Lake

Sacramento's professional baroque music ensemble creates vibrant, engaging performances of music from the 17th to 19th Centuries. The group has a local reputation for quality and compelling programming. Inevitably, audience members leave these intimate concerts feeling moved and inspired. In 2017-18, the ensemble performs their 16th concert season. Repertoire includes Sonatas to concertos and sinfonias, from Uccellini and Gabrielli to Lully, from Vivaldi to Biber and Bach. Audiences enjoy the many varied themes and historical program notes presented through the years. Winter's Eve Lady of the Lake As the days grow shorter, our spirits are drawn to rest and renewal. Even as the pace of our lives accelerates to handle the stresses of our seasonal celebrations, our natural instincts urge us to retreat into the darkness. In this darkness we dream and regenerate, making ready for new beginnings, which come as the days lengthen and lighten. In this performance, Lady of the Lake's music recognizes this renewal of the soul and celebrates the fire of light and life. Saturday, December 9, 2017 @ 7:30 pm
