Folsom Event: New Exhibit at Gallery at 48 Natoma: “What came first, the chicken or the egg?”

March 16 through May 3

In this whimsical art show, three acclaimed artists will exhibit versions of this subject in a variety of media. Loretta Armstrong will show a series of imaginative chicken and rooster oil paintings, Karen Hunziker will display mixed media drawings and paintings of chickens and Ukrainian eggs, and artist Teresa Mihalko Harbert will exhibit beautiful Pysanky painted eggs. This show is coordinated with the opening of the new Barnyard Experience at the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary that is just down the sidewalk from the gallery at the Folsom Civic Center. This new program will provide a forever home to rescued farm animals and a public education center to teach responsible behavior toward all animals. The galleries are located in the 48 Natoma Senior and Art Center; regular hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
