El Dorado Hills Event: Folsom Lake Symphony performs at Live on the Boulevard

The Folsom Lake Symphony announces its 2018 return to “Live on the Boulevard” at the Steven Young Amphitheater, El Dorado Hills Town Center, under the direction of Maestro Peter Jaffe, in “Steppin’ Lively,” September 6, 2018 at 6:30 PM.
Bring portable chairs and picnic. Viewing area opens at 5 PM. Come early for best seating. A perfect night for lively, beautiful music by the water and under the stars, bring family and meet friends al fresco under the twinkling lights of the popular and beautiful El Dorado Hills Town Center.
Longtime lovers of the full symphony will find welcome company with those wanting to experience orchestral music for a first time, as each delight in an evening featuring music from the late romantic and popular eras selected specially for this open-air concert by Folsom Lake Symphony Music Director and Conductor, Maestro Peter Jaffe.
"This free concert at the Town Center is the first of three community concerts that we are offering for the 2018-2019 season. It is particularly satisfying to present this concert, as it is a fantastic vehicle to expose the community to beautiful, live symphonic music," notes Folsom Lake Symphony President, Anson Wong. "It's a joy to see the children in the audience dancing to our music or conducting along with the maestro; the impact of our efforts becomes real."
Concert-goers will experience the glorious “Bacchanale” from Samson et Delila by Saint-Saens, the human passion of Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, and the swingable, sing-able tunes of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. Be prepared to be swept away to the movies by “Flying,” the theme from ET, the Extraterrestrial, “Themes From 007,” “Aquarius” from Hair, and more. Come, “Steppin’ Lively“ and join the audience for this immensely popular end of summer concert, “Live on the Boulevard,” and be a part of the excitement that is the Folsom Lake Symphony!
